The Mec-Gar extended 10-round .45 ACP (.45 Auto) single-stack magazine for Full-Size Government and Commander 1911 handguns is engineered for maximum firepower, smooth round feeding, and heavy-duty competition or tactical performance.
Precision-manufactured by Mec-Gar in Italy, this magazine features a housing made of heat-treated carbon steel fully protected by Mec-Gar’s signature Anti-Friction Coating (AFC) in a matte black fluoropolymer finish. This hi-tech treatment eliminates friction inside the magazine well to ensure slick, lightning-fast drop-free reloads while delivering superior defense against rust, sweat, and harsh climate environments. Integrated **side view slots** allow shooters to quickly check remaining round capacity.
Cartridge control is maintained by a traditional stamped steel high-profile follower featuring a center dimple design to stabilize heavy .45 ACP bullets along the feed ramp while delivering clean, positive slide-stop engagement on empty. Continuous upward feed pressure is sustained by a heavy-duty, high-load high-tensile strength music wire spring calibrated for fast cycling actions.
The base features an extended high-impact black polymer bumper pad. This oversized baseplate cushions the magazine housing during rapid combat drops on hard surfaces, provides a solid tactile surface for positive seating in the grip frame, and facilitates swift extraction from magazine pouches.
