The Mec-Gar 8-round .40 S&W single-stack magazine for Full-Size Government and Commander 1911 handguns is engineered for flawless cartridge feeding, smooth magwell entry, and rugged long-term reliability.
Crafted by Mec-Gar to demanding specifications, this magazine features a housing made of heat-treated carbon steel finished with a classic, high-polish Glossy Blued treatment. Its polished outer surface facilitates smooth reloading cycles inside the frame’s magazine well. Integrated **side view slots/count holes** allow shooters to quickly check remaining capacity.
Cartridge presentation is controlled by an advanced anti-tilt follower made of high-impact polymer or latest-generation stamped metal. The follower geometry is specifically shaped to smoothly track flat-nose .40 S&W projectiles along the feed ramp while delivering clean, positive slide-stop engagement on empty. Constant upward tension is provided by a heavy-duty high-tensile strength music wire spring designed for fast cycling actions.
